Who We Are
Learning With Pride started as the 9th grade National Junior Honors Society final project of its founder, Ethan. While working on a project of historical representation of LGBTQ+ figures in school curriculum, Ethan learned of the discrimination and harassment faced by LGBTQ+ students, both on school sites and through state legislation. As a queer student in the American high school system, Ethan personally felt a deep connection, saw what needed to be changed, and decided the only way to see the change so desperately needed was to help create it. The project took off, and Learning With Pride was born!
